Hello! My name is Jessica Cleland and I am a freelance Graphic and Web designer based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Thanks for visiting my site - I hope you like what you see! Now here's a little bit about me...
I grew up in Upstate New York, and I've been artistic since I was a little kid (or so I hear). I was really athletic growing up - I played sports 24/7. Everyone thought it was a funny combination that I was an athlete and an artist. My family had been vacationing in Myrtle Beach for as long as I can remember. I always said I wanted to live here when I grew up. So when it was time to decide where I wanted to go to college, I knew I wanted to be in Myrtle Beach! While I was in college, I worked as an Assistant Tennis Professional for 4-5 years at two local tennis clubs... it was an awesome job!
I graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2007 with a degree in Studio Art. Once I graduated, I thought I should probably look for a job that involved my degree! My first job in this field was as an Interactive Designer at DSL Marketing. It was so exciting to have a job in the design field!
My next job was the Web and Graphic designer for an airline. I got to do a little bit of everything there, which I really liked.
And now here I am! I always knew I wanted to work for myself, so it was just a matter of time... I just had to make the jump!
My goal is to help people make their businesses more successful by making their marketing materials look better! It's so important to have a professional website, flyers, signs, brochures, etc. It pays to stand out from the rest when it comes to marketing.
